2017 Amateur Radio Field Day will be held from 2pm Saturday, June 24 through 2pm Sunday, June 25 at a private residence not far from Randallstown, Md. This is our third annual Field Day event. As usual, we will be operating and logging contacts as WB3DZO.
Our Field Day event is a low-stress, fun Amateur Radio experience, from set-up, to operations & contest, to take-down. We will have several radios and antennas operating HF (phone & CW - bring your favorite key!) VHF/UHF will be available as desired. We can also operate digital modes as well. For those interested in making satellite contacts, we will have an Arrow antenna ready to use!
We operate our various radios under generator and battery power. We had a great time last year and a nice turnout of ham operators and interested visitors, and we're expecting the same this year.
You're welcome to bring snacks, but refreshments will be provided.
If you're a current ham operator or just thinking about becoming one and want to find out what Amateur Radio is all about (and even get on the air if you'd like!), come join our bunch of friendly ham radio operators for a great Field Day!
For details, including schedule and location, please email Steve at KA3ZMN@ARRL.NET and he will provide you all the information you'll need.
Hope to see you there! 73!
